Bookings

Do I have to make my reservations at the museum and/or catering establishments?
No, the City Boost is completely taken care of by us. The ticket price includes entrance to the museums. Just relax and enjoy! 

I would like to book a City Boost with a group of 3 persons, is this possible?
Yes, it is possible to book a City Boost with 3 persons. We offer tickets for groups of 2 and 4 people. If you want to go as a group of 3, you can book the ticket 'THE 4 OF US'. 

I want to book the City Boost on Entrepreneurship for my organization, what is the maximum number of participants?
A maximum of 20 people can participate in the City Boost. If you want more people within your organization to participate, please contact us and we will discuss the possibilities. It is important to know that during the City Boost the group will be split up into 2 and/or 4-person groups, to ensure an optimal City Boost experience and to stick to the measures around COVID19. 

Can the number of participants (after booking) still be changed?
Cancellations can be arranged via My Reservations. If you would like to change the number of participants, we recommend you to cancel your existing reservation and create a new booking.

Is it possible to change my time slot?
Yes, you can find an overview of your City Boosts under "My booking" and "More" in the main menu. Here you can also change your data - including the time slot. Please note, however, that the time slot can be changed up to a minimum of 48 hours in advance. 

Can I buy a ticket at the location?
No, you can only purchase a City Boost online. On our website, you can choose a boost, and then you will be guided step-by-step through the ordering process.

Content & Practicalities

What elements do the City Boosts consist of?
The most important element of our City Boost remains of course: having a refreshing, real conversation with each other. As for the physical activities: we go for a walk, visit a museum and also enjoy the delicacies that the Amsterdam hospitality industry has to offer. 

Is there a guide at my City Boost?
No, the guidance of your City Boost will be done by a step-by-step guide on your phone. You will receive the link to the guide by email the night before. 

Can I pause a City Boost or continue it later?
No, the link for the step-by-step guide on your phone will expire a few hours after your boost. However, you don't need to rush, you'll have plenty of time to make the most of the City Boost. 

If I book a City Boost just for myself, will I be put in a group with people who also book a City Boost for themselves, or also with people who already know each other?
No. You will be grouped with people who also booked for themselves. This gives you the opportunity to meet new people and have a unique experience together. 

Do I receive the step-by-step guide of a City Boost before the City Boost?
Yes, you will receive it by email on the evening beforehand. 

Where is the starting point of the City Boosts?
The starting point depends on the theme you choose for a City Boost and can be found here. All start locations are a maximum of 30 minutes walk from Central Station. 

Does a City Boost take place in bad weather?
Of course it does! Bad weather doesn't exist, bad clothing on the other hand...

Costs

Do I still need to buy an entrance ticket for the museums?
No, the City Boost is completely taken care of by us. The ticket price also includes the entrance fee to the museums. Just relax and enjoy! 

Do students, children, organizations, or senior citizens (65+) get a discount?
No, our foundation is focused on supporting Amsterdam's museums and hospitality industry. Our proceeds will give them a push in the right direction, now that they have been hit hard by the corona crisis. It is therefore not possible for us to offer discounts for a wonderful cause. Would you still like to participate but do not have the means at your disposal? Don't hesitate and contact us by email at info@fortheloveofamsterdam.nl

Can I use my CJP pass, museum annual card and/or ICOM card with the City Boosts?
No, as mentioned above, the proceeds are currently more than necessary. Giving discounts is therefore not an option. 

What are the cancellation costs in case of cancellation of a City Boost?
There are no cancellation fees. However, you are given the option to change your booking or donate to the foundation. In this case, your contribution will be used to give others (who are in need and have been selected with the help of the City of Amsterdam) the experience of a City Boost as a gift. Of course, this is not an obligation and you can also get your money back.

Accessibility

Can I bring my dog (or other pets) during the City Boosts?
No, unfortunately this is not possible due to the rules of the participating museums and restaurants. 

Are all City Boosts accessible for people with disabilities?

The Foundation

How does sponsoring of a lonely resident work?
For this, we work together with the City of Amsterdam. From the contribution of our business participants, we make tickets available from the For the Love of Amsterdam Foundation. The municipality selects and pairs a lonely resident with a volunteer. In this way, we provide Amsterdam residents in need with a fun and refreshing day, courtesy of the participating companies and the Municipality of Amsterdam. 

I live outside Amsterdam, are the City Boosts also interesting for me?
Certainly. For all lovers of beautiful Amsterdam, the City Boost is highly recommended!

What personal information do we collect?
When you order, register, or contact us on our site, you may be asked to enter your email address or other information to help you use the platform correctly.

We collect information from you when you submit our contact form.

We may use the information we collect from you when you contact us, register, make a purchase (when we add this option), sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse the website or use certain other features of the site in the following ways:

How do we protect your information?
Our website is regularly scanned for security holes and known vulnerabilities to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of individuals who have special access rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you provide is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer(SSL) technology.  We implement various security measures when a user places an order, enters, submits, or accesses their information to ensure the security of your personal information. 

Do we use 'cookies'?
